How much does a typical repair cost?+
Service-call diagnostic is $95 (applied to repair if you proceed). Most repairs land in the $180–$485 range including parts and labor — refrigerator compressor and sealed-system work runs higher ($380–$850). We quote in writing before any work and never start without your sign-off.
How fast can you come out?+
Most calls scheduled within 2–4 business days. Refrigerator emergencies (active spoilage) typically same-day or next-day with our priority slots. We give 2-hour arrival windows and the tech calls 30 minutes out.
Is it worth fixing or should I just replace?+
Rule of thumb: if repair cost is more than 50% of the replacement cost AND the appliance is more than 10 years old, replacement makes sense. We tell you straight — most of our techs have walked away from $400 repairs to recommend a $1,200 new fridge instead. Honesty is why we’re still here.
Do you work on high-end appliances?+
Yes. Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Bosch, Miele, Thermador, La Cornue. These require manufacturer-certified parts and techs trained on the specific platform — we have both. Sealed-system Sub-Zero work has a longer parts lead time (1–3 weeks).
Will my home warranty cover this?+
Probably — but read your policy carefully. Most home warranties cover mechanical failure but not pre-existing conditions or improper installation. We’re happy to provide diagnostic documentation that supports a warranty claim. We can also bill the warranty directly when they’re willing to authorize the work.
