The Reality

If you've been navigating immigration in the last few years, this will sound familiar.

These are the situations we help Long Beach customers solve every week.

  • Your green-card priority date moved backward and you don't know what your timeline actually looks like now
  • Your H-1B status is expiring in 8 months and your employer hasn't started extension paperwork
  • Your spouse received an NTA (Notice to Appear) in immigration court and you don't know what to do
  • You've been a green-card holder for 5+ years and want to naturalize but you're worried about the test, the fees, or a 12-year-old DUI on your record
  • You hired a notario or document-preparation service and now your case is in worse shape than when you started

Our Services

What we handle.

Family-Based Immigration & Green Cards

Service · 01

Family-Based Immigration & Green Cards

Marriage-based green cards, family-petition adjustments of status, K-1 fiancé visas, and consular processing. Includes evidence prep, USCIS filing, RFE responses, and interview prep. Typical timelines: marriage-based green card 12–18 months, family-petition wait varies by category. Most cases resolved without RFE.

Employment Visas & H-1B

Service · 02

Employment Visas & H-1B

H-1B specialty occupation, L-1 intra-company transfer, O-1 extraordinary ability, EB-1/EB-2/EB-3 employment-based green cards, and PERM labor certification. We work directly with HR teams and corporate counsel on cap-subject filings, extensions, and amendments. Common employer relationships: tech, healthcare, education, finance.

Citizenship & Naturalization

Service · 03

Citizenship & Naturalization

N-400 naturalization for green-card holders meeting residency requirements. Includes good-moral-character analysis (especially important for clients with prior arrests, even old or expunged), test and interview prep, and naturalization ceremony coordination. Flat-fee for straightforward cases.

Deportation Defense & Removal Proceedings

Service · 04

Deportation Defense & Removal Proceedings

Cancellation of removal, asylum, withholding of removal, and CAT (Convention Against Torture) claims. We represent before EOIR (Executive Office for Immigration Review), Board of Immigration Appeals, and federal circuit courts on petitions for review. Time-sensitive — call immediately if you receive an NTA.

The Difference

Why Long Beach and Greater LA pick Atlas.

01

AILA Member Firm

We're members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) — the trade association that maintains professional standards and continuing education in immigration law. Most reputable immigration firms hold AILA membership; many storefront immigration providers do not. The bar matters here.

02

Multi-Lingual Practice

Our attorneys and paralegals practice in English, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese. About 70% of our caseload is conducted partly or entirely in a non-English language. Intake, evidence preparation, USCIS interview prep, and immigration-court testimony can all be conducted in client's primary language.

03

Procedural Knowledge Through Policy Changes

Immigration law shifts under every administration — eligibility categories tighten or loosen, processing times change, RFE rates fluctuate. Our 16 years cover three administrations and the changes between them. We adapt strategy to current policy reality, not last year's playbook.

04

Honest About When Not to File

If your case isn't ready (good-moral-character issue, priority-date wait, missing evidence), we'll tell you and recommend waiting. If you're better served by another attorney whose specialty fits your case better, we'll refer. We've turned away ~12% of new-client inquiries this year because the case wasn't right for our practice.

Common Questions

You probably want to know.

How much does it cost?+

Marriage-based green card flat fee: $4,800–$7,800 (plus USCIS fees ~$2,000). Naturalization flat fee: $1,400–$2,400 (plus USCIS fees ~$760). Employment visas (H-1B): $3,800–$5,800 firm fee. Removal defense hourly with retainer: $7,500–$25,000+ (case-dependent). Free initial consultation.

How long do cases take?+

Marriage-based green card: 12–18 months. Naturalization: 12–18 months from filing to ceremony. Employment H-1B initial filing: 6–8 months (longer with cap selection lottery). Removal defense: 2–4 years typical (immigration court is heavily backlogged). We give you realistic timelines at the consultation.

Can I file on my own?+

Some simple cases yes — straightforward marriage-based green cards or naturalizations with clean records can be self-filed. We'll tell you honestly at the consultation if that's your situation. Most cases benefit from an attorney because the procedural rules are unforgiving and a single missing document can cause years of delay.

What if I have a criminal record?+

Criminal-immigration analysis is one of our specialties. Some convictions are absolute bars to immigration relief; some are not (despite what the public defender said). We do a careful good-moral-character review at the consultation to tell you what's actually possible — not the worst-case answer everyone else gives you.

What if I received an NTA (Notice to Appear)?+

Call us immediately. NTAs initiate removal proceedings and have strict deadlines. We can usually file motions or appearances inside 48 hours of retention to protect your rights. Don't wait for your master calendar hearing to find counsel — by then critical deadlines may have passed.

Free 45-minute initial consultation in English, Spanish, Tagalog, or Vietnamese — phone, video, or in person at our Long Beach office. Honest assessment, transparent pricing, and a written engagement plan if we're the right fit.
