The Work
What we resurface.

— 01 · Pebble
Pebble & Quartz Aggregate Finishes
Pebble Tec, Pebble Sheen, and Diamond Brite quartz aggregate finishes — 15–20 year expected life, beautiful natural color and texture, and excellent durability against staining and etching. The premium finish for clients who want one resurface every 18 years instead of two every 10.

— 02 · Plaster
Plaster & Marcite Resurfacing
Traditional white plaster and Marcite finishes for clients who want the classic pool look at lower cost. 7–12 year expected life, smooth texture, easy to maintain. Available in white, blue, gray, and tinted variants. Right answer for budget-conscious projects or rental properties.

— 03 · Waterline
Waterline Tile Replacement
Full tile chip-out and replacement around the entire pool perimeter (typically 6-inch tile band). 1x1 mosaic, 6x6 standard, or custom decorative patterns in glass or porcelain. We always replace tile during a resurface — saves the redo of a coordinated project later.

— 04 · Coping
Coping & Deck Restoration
Pool coping (the rim that frames the pool) repair, full replacement, or color-coating. Common materials: travertine, brick, cast concrete, and stamped concrete. Optional pool-deck resurfacing (Kool Deck, broom finish, decorative concrete coatings) coordinated with the resurface project.
We chip out the existing surface to bare gunite (the structural concrete shell) before applying the new finish. Some contractors “bond coat” over the old surface to save labor — that’s how delamination failures happen at year 3. We do the work that lasts.

What sets us apart
Why Tampa Bay homeowners trust us with their pool.
01
Full Chip-Out, Always
We chip out the existing surface to bare gunite (the structural concrete shell) before applying the new finish. Some contractors “bond coat” over the old surface to save labor — that’s how delamination failures happen at year 3. We do the work that lasts.
02
10-Year Surface Warranty
Every pebble or quartz finish carries our written 10-year warranty against delamination, cracking, and staining caused by workmanship issues. Manufacturer covers the aggregate quality. Our crew did the install. We stand behind both.
03
Tile + Coping + Surface as One Project
Most pools that need resurfacing also need waterline tile replacement and coping touch-up. Doing all three in one project costs about 60% of doing them separately later. We line them up properly with a written sequence so you’re back swimming in 2-3 weeks, not months.
Frequently asked.
How much does pool resurfacing cost?+
Mid-size residential pool (450 sq ft surface): plaster $7,500–$11,500, pebble or quartz $11,500–$18,500. Adding waterline tile replacement: $2,800–$5,500. Adding coping replacement: $2,200–$5,800. Full project (resurface + tile + coping) typically $14,500–$28,000. Free written estimate after on-site visit.
How long does the project take?+
Active project window: 14–21 days from drain-and-chip to refill-and-startup. Day 1: drain + chip-out. Days 2-3: structural prep, tile chip-out (if scoped), coping prep. Day 4-5: tile install. Day 6-8: surface application + cure. Day 9-13: refill + startup chemistry balancing. Day 14-21: minor punch list + warm-up swim.
When should I resurface my pool?+
Typical signs: rough surface that scratches your feet, persistent dark stains that don’t respond to acid wash, calcium buildup at the waterline, plaster discoloration, or 12+ years since last resurface. We do free in-water inspections at no charge and give honest assessments — sometimes a $300 acid wash can buy you another 2-3 years.
Can I keep using my pool until you start?+
Yes. We schedule projects 4-8 weeks out from contract signing, so you can swim through the rest of the season. Most clients schedule resurfaces for late fall or winter when the pool is closed anyway, so they’re ready for spring.
Will my insurance or warranty cover this?+
Generally no — pool resurfacing is wear-and-tear maintenance, not insurable damage. Some homeowners’ policies cover damage from a covered peril (fallen tree, vandalism). Manufacturer warranties on existing surfaces are typically 5-10 years from original install — check your file. We help interpret your situation at consult.
Take the next step
Get the pool you want without buying a new one.
Free on-site estimate including in-water inspection. We assess the surface condition, tile condition, coping, and structural shell — then provide written line-item pricing for resurface alone, or as a coordinated project with tile and coping.
